Pinch

Custom Pinch Pleat Sheers

Sheer styled drapes beautifully diffuse light providing limited privacy and intimacy while protecting your furnishings from damaging UV light. We offer a multitude of sheer fabrics in varying styles and textures. The fabrics are typically wide width allowing for a large flowing drape without vertical seams. Many of the available fabrics have a leaded finished bottom allowing for longer lengths without a hem. Available in all pleat styles, sheers are typically made at 3 to 1 fullness, but may vary depending on fabric selection.

Custom Pinch Pleat Privacy Drape

A traditional and classic choice for your drapery heading. A pinch pleated privacy drape should be fabricated at 2 or 2.5 times fullness depending on the fabric and the desired look. You can choose to do a two-prong pinch or a three-prong pinch pleat. A three-prong is the classic and most popular option, but a two-prong is a bit simpler and more contemporary.

Tack Top Pleat (double or triple)

A top tack pleat is similar to the pinch pleat, except that the pinch is at the very top of the pleat. This creates great volume on the finished piece and is a more modern version of the pinch pleat. Similar to the pinch, this heading is available in a double or triple top tack. Tack top pleated drapes should be fabricated at 2.5 times fullness (triple tack top can be made up to 3 times full).

 Inverted Box Pleat

An inverted box pleat is the most contemporary option, but it does not always work depending on the fabric. For example, when using a striped fabric it is difficult to line the stripe up to the pleat and rarely works with inverted pleats. We generally don’t recommend stripes with an inverted pleat. An inverted pleat is done at 2 or 2.5 times fullness.

All of these pleat options are timeless and will not disappoint. Always work with one of our Decorating Consultants to get the desired results.
