Colour Accuracy

We do our best to show accurate dye lot and colour samples in our retail stores. However, due to dyelot variations in fabrics, we cannot guarantee that these will exactly match the final product made for you.  Since custom ordered products can't be returned, you must be sure that you can tolerate minor dye lot colour variations that may occur compared to the samples shown.

In addition to the above considerations regarding colour, we highly recommend that you order all of your custom window coverings of a given colour or fabric at the same time. This will insure that the same dye lot is used and any side by side windows will be properly matched. We cannot guarantee that future orders will match exactly to a previous order.

Effects of Backlighting on Fabrics

"Back lighting" happens when light filters in through translucent fabrics from behind. The effect of back lighting can soften colours and highlight fabric textures. Be sure to check the backlighting of your fabric and lining combination at time of order.

Your Personal Private Information 

We respect your privacy. All personal information you provide to us WILL remain absolutely confidential and be used solely to communicate better with you. We will not share your information with anyone.

Your Window Measurements 

For both inside and outside mount the FINISHED MEASUREMENT of the window treatment will be from the top of the headrail to the bottom of the bottomrail (or the bottom of the vanes for vertical blinds) for the LENGTH. WIDTH will be determined by the width measurement provided, less a deduction that is determined by product and mounting type. See below for details:

Inside Mounting: An inside mount fits within the window frame. On inside mounts, deductions are taken by the factory for operating clearance. These deductions vary for each manufacturer and each product. DO NOT TAKE DEDUCTIONS FROM YOUR FRAME TO FRAME MEASUREMENTS that you provide to us.

Outside Mounting: An outside mount overlaps the window opening. NO DEDUCTIONS are taken by the manufacturer when Outside Mount is specified.  You must provide the EXACT MEASUREMENTS that you would like the window treatment to be. Payment Options

We require that 50% of all retail and In-home orders are paid for when your order is placed. Visa, Mastercard and Cash are accepted. All products must be paid in full before they will be released from the store or sent out to your home for installation.

Changes, Cancellations and Refunds

Because many of our products are custom made to your exact specifications, they are not suitable for resale in the ordinary course of business. Therefore, it is important that you are sure of your purchase decisions prior to finalizing your order. Unless there is a delay in placing your order because we need additional information from you, an order received from will normally be sent for production the next day. 

Cancellations and Changes in orders can only be made for a period of 24 hours after your order is finalized.. Covers cannot refund any money or issue any credits for a purchase if the cancellation or change occurs at any time beyond this 24 hour period unless allowable by the manufacturer.

Occasionally there may be delays caused by out-of-stock materials, shipping delays, temporary factory overload, holidays, or other factors beyond the control of Coversonline.ca and its associates. In the event of a known delay, when the manufacturer contacts us, we will advise you immediately. Covers reserves the right to reject any order, at its discretion.

Discontinued and/or Back Ordered Items

On occasion the product you have ordered will be discontinued or placed on backorder by the manufacturer after we have received your order. We make every effort to remove discontinued items from our sales systems as soon as we are aware of them. We will notify you whenever we receive notice of backorders. Also see "Delivery Times" noted below.

Delivery Times

Delivery times given are estimates based on normal production and shipping times. Delivery times may vary depending on the product. The estimated delivery times include working days after our receipt of your completed order and exclude weekends and holidays. On occasions, there may also be delays caused by out-of-stock merchandise, inventory-taking, temporary factory overload, or other unforeseen problems. Coversonline.ca is not responsible for shipping delays caused by problems which are beyond its reasonable control.

Sales Tax

HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) is charged on all products and services. 

Inspection of Merchandise

Inspect your merchandise as soon as you receive it and notify Covers immediately if the merchandise has been damaged in any way. Also, please check to make sure that the products you ordered were made exactly as you specified on your order. Contact the store or your Home Consultant immediately if you have any questions or concerns about your new window or bedding products.

Mounting Blinds and Safety Concerns

Basic hardware is provided for installation of blinds and shades as well as for drapery hardware. In some cases, you may require screws for mounting into different materials such as drywall, wood, metal or concrete. You may also require insert plugs for securely mounting into drywall. Regardless of the mounting material, please insure that all brackets are securely mounted with at least 2 screws. Failure to secure window coverings properly can result in damage to the window covering, your walls, floors, trim, windows and furnishings and may pose a severe safety hazard.  Any cords, chains or strings pose a severe strangulation hazard and MUST be kept away from children. Use cord tidy, ring or other hold down devices where applicable.
